Zip home is an innovative high performance home that is simple, modern, and affordable.  Designed as a prototype for a pre-fabricated energy efficient home which could be available to install in just four months time at any site throughout Chile. The two bedroom home was designed based on the modules of SIP panel construction. By working with the exact dimensions, it eliminates material waste and avoids a significant amount of work in the field. A high level of insulation is achieved through the use of these interlocking panels. Passive heating, cooling, and ventilation is achieved through the carefully calculated openings and angles of the home.
